Linksy is built by Sean in Wales. The idea came while watching a YouTube video one evening: a creator was showing off a product they clearly loved, and Sean kept thinking, if I was that creator, how would I get the chance to work with that business? And if I was that business, how would I find the right creator in the first place? The match felt obvious, but the path to get there did not exist.
That same thought kept coming up around live music. Sean loves gigs, and watching venues in Cardiff struggle or close is hard when there are so many spaces across South Wales that could host brilliant events: community halls, hotel function rooms, bars with a corner for a PA, arts centres, rooftops, basements. The problem is not a lack of places; it is that the people with the space and the people with the idea never find each other.
So Linksy flips it. Post what you need, and the right match comes to you. Whether it is a creator looking for a brand, a business looking for a promoter, or a venue with a quiet Tuesday looking for an act, the goal is the same: keep events and live music going in spaces we never really think about. We are building in the open with our first Cardiff cohort, and every early member shapes what launches.
